Holiday Giveaway: Win 9 lbs of US Wellness Meats sugar-free bacon (a $100 value)!

By on December 13, 2012 in Events, Classes & Groups | 21 comments

If you listened to my podcast about the Ancestral Health Symposium, you’ll know that according to Mat Lalonde’s nutrient density scale, bacon sits at the top of all pork products. Here’s your chance to stock up on some Whole30-approved sugar-free bacon from our friends at US Wellness Meats.

US Wellness Meats is an online purveyor of all things pastured and grassfed. They’re a great resource for all kinds of meat including beef, lamb, poultry, bison, rabbit, and even wild caught seafood. I highly encourage checking them out if you’re unfamiliar with their business. Their mission is pure and simple and something I very much agree with: Do what’s good for our animals, good for our planet and good for you.

Please note that by entering this giveaway, you agree to the rules. This giveaway is only open to U.S. residents.

These entries and contests and give-a-ways are way too intrusive. I just paid for my bacon at USWM and I think I’d rather do that than some convoluted handout. Surely you will delete this, anyway.

Oh gosh, I love bacon and I was buying it locally for a now and then treat.
That being said, I hate to be the “Debbie Downer” in the bunch but Joe Mercola just put out an article stating that we should avoid all pork products. He says it doesn’t matter if it’s loca, pastured, humanely raised. Read more…

Sharon, they tested raw pork. Proper cooking kills bacteria. Also, at the bottom of the article it says that this was true of pigs raised in CAFOs.
