Dear Chris,
I am sure you'll pass all your exams very successfully. I wish you this success from the bottom of my heart. It is a pleasure for me to read your articles, though I prefer to read and study more about Chinese or any alternative medicine. I have been working as a western medical doctor during about 30 years in another country. So, I have enough frustrations about Western medicine. However, I still think that Western medicine is great knowledge. I am practicing now Chinese medicine and it is beginning of my new career ( only 2nd year of my practice). So, sometimes i think that you are probably wasting time paying to mach attention to Western medicine. Chinese medicine is a huge, bottomless source of knowledge. It also demands time and energy to fathom it, perhaps the entire life is too short for this purpose. Never mind. I probably will miss your articles. I always was waiting them. Any case, thank you very much for everything that you've done .
Sincere. Galina

Sabra,

You might find the Health News Review website to be helpful. They review clinical studies and have a helpful "Things you should know about clinical research" section.

I look foward to your return and wish you success in your upcoming year. I very much enjoy reading your critics of studies and before you depart for the year I have a question. Have you found certain books to be helpful in your critical appraisals of studies? Other than your education and general understanding of health. I have been reading some EBM books but I find they side heavily for mainstream medicine and I know there is critism that EBM is not applicable [nor are RCT] to CAM. Any reading suggestions?
