Most of us don’t have hours to spend in the kitchen on a regular basis, so having easily prepared go-to Paleo recipes is a key factor to sustaining a Paleo lifestyle. This is why I created the Meal Plan Generator, an app which produces personalized Paleo meal plans based on your particular needs. (The Meal Plan Generator is currently a component of the Personal Paleo Launchpad, but will be available on it’s own very soon.)
It’s also why cookbooks with quick and easy recipes are so helpful to those just getting started with Paleo, or those who have been following a Paleo lifestyle for a while but are looking to cut down on the some of the time they spend in the kitchen.
Julie and Charles Mayfield have recently released Quick & Easy Paleo Comfort Foods, the follow up to their successful book Paleo Comfort Foods. Now that Julie and Charles have a new infant son, they’re even more aware of the need to have easily prepared and healthy recipes that can be made in a snap.
While I always encourage people to value their time in the kitchen and prioritize eating healthy, nutrient-dense foods, I also recognize the importance of being able to make healthy and delicious foods quickly. Fortunately, eating healthily doesn’t have to be time consuming, and with many people’s hectic schedules, saving time in the kitchen is crucial. Quick & Easy Paleo Comfort Foods is a great cookbook for this purpose.
The cookbook contains over 100 recipes, from starters and snacks, to soups, salads, main dishes, sides, and desserts. Most of the recipes can be created in 30 minutes or less (some in as little as 15 minutes), and are perfect for solo chefs as well as a parent cooking for a whole family. There are kid-friendly recipes such as chicken tenders, “meatza”, and homemade “Larabar” balls, which can help transition even the pickiest kid to a whole foods diet.
Today, I’m teaming up with Julie and Charles to give away 2 copies of their new cookbook. To enter, head over to my Facebook page and like the post about this article! The giveaway will end tonight (10/3/13) at 11:59 pm PST, and I’ll be picking a winner the following day. Good luck!
