I am 48 and recently had surgery on my finger. The doctor gave me 10 days of steroids and 2 different antibiotics. Since then ive developed cronic hive episodes.everyday different parts of my body experience hives.ive been taking benidril daily. If it effects my feet, it is both feet.both sides of my hips same with my hands.if hives show up on one hand i will get them on the other. I have tried spray benidril so i dont have to take a pill but rarely does that stuff work. Scratching my sin rite off it is so bad.someone help please.what more can i do? Oh and it started with sever lip and facial swellings. But now it seems to have moved to hips fingers hands arms and especially the tops of my feet.

I have been to several doctors but find this interesting. I have been on allergy MEDS for years. I was diagnosed with Andioedema, now doctors say it’s not that, Milkersunn Rosenthal, burning mouth, and now yet none of the above! I am now seeing a neurologist for the headaches and sharp pains, hurt/ pain in the left breast area, with weird bowel problems, along with itching!! I am 48, but have been told I am not menopausal yet!! I have visited the ER 5 times.. Still no diagnosis! I have never had a food allergy before! I just don’t know. When I take a deep breath I feel a popping around my rib cage! I am on Gabapentin for the neck, shoulder and head pain!! I am at a loss.. Going on for 5 months a little relief!!

I am 47 and post menopausal and in January started getting hives during the night with swelling and burning pain. I find this article about histamine intolerance Interesting because of the similar foods I consume, trouble with digestion , recent palpatations/anxiety, memory loss, short term and irratibiliy . Of course some of this is hormone related but the hives are probably not. Any advice would be nice .

I am eating more of a primal diet as opposed to a paleo diet. I don’t eat any grains and I am sure you know, primal really wants you to eat almost no carbs. I have gone my entire life not having any problems with food allergies, at least none that were obvious and now I have the hives on a regular basis. The terrible itching keeps me up at night, looking like a dog with fleas. It is driving me crazy. Are there any probiotics that help this or is this an indication of leaky gut?
