I wanted to give you all a brief update on the book. After a lot of deliberation, we decided to move the publication date back a week to December 31st. Timing is important in book publishing, and for a variety of reasons I won’t bore you with we felt this date would give the book the best exposure and positioning for success.
I know that some of you will be disappointed, and in a way I am too (I have to wait a week longer for my book to be published!). But in the scheme of things, waiting another week is a small price to pay for a chance to change more lives!
On that note, I have some exciting news: Barnes & Noble has selected Your Personal Paleo Code to be part of their “New Year, New You” promotion from 12/31 through 2/17. This should give the book some great additional visibility.
Even with the later publication date, we’re just a little over 10 weeks from the book launch. I’m currently going through the “Pages” (i.e. final formatted manuscript) checking for typos and making small last minute edits. This is my final opportunity to make any changes… at least until the second edition!
I’m also happy to report that over 400 of you have generously volunteered to support or sponsor the book tour. That’s an incredible response, and it’s going to go a long way toward making this book a smashing success! It’s also going to make the tour a blast: we have fantastic suggestions for events in each location and a great team of people that I’m really looking forward to working with. (It’s not too late to get in on the fun. If you’d like to volunteer or sponsor an event, just fill out this form.)
That’s all for now. Back to proofreading…
