Chris earned his PhD in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Connecticut. He served as a postdoctoral research associate in the Comparative Biosciences department of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois. He was also an Assistant Professor of Health and Nutrition Sciences at Brooklyn College.
Mark Hyman, MD
Dr. Hyman is a practicing family physician, a ten-time #1 New York Times bestselling author, and an internationally recognized leader, speaker, educator, and advocate in his field. He is the Director of the Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine. He is also the founder and medical director of The UltraWellness Center, chairman of the board of the Institute for Functional Medicine, a medical editor of The Huffington Post, and was a regular medical contributor on many television shows including CBS This Morning, The Today Show, Good Morning America, CNN, The View, Katie, and The Dr. Oz Show.

Over the course of his career, Will Welch, A-CFHC, MS, BA, has had years of experience in academia and research. He ran a social and health psychology lab at UCLA; he was ABD PhD at Columbia Business School in their Organizational Behavior program, where he defended a dissertation proposal based on motivation research; he received an MS from the same program; and he’s headed employee survey and people analytics groups for large multinational companies.
Phyllis J Gee, MD, FACOG
Dr. Gee is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is a member of the Dallas County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. Dr. Gee has been actively involved in several hospitals and civic and community organizations throughout her career.
Jessica Montalvo, MD
Jessica Montalvo, MD, thought she would be an East Coast resident for life. After attending college at Harvard University and medical school at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, settling down in New York City for residency seemed like the next step. That plan fell apart when she fell in love with the city of Chicago during her residency interviews. She was fortunate to match at Northwestern for internal medicine training, beginning a relationship with the institution and the city that is ongoing.
