This blog, and my book, are not really about the Paleo diet.
But it’s much simpler to say “Paleo” than to say “a nutrient dense, toxin-free, real-food diet that emphasizes animal protein and fats, starchy & non-starchy vegetables, fermented foods, raw dairy (when tolerated) and fruit, nuts & seeds.” And the truth is that the typical Paleo diet will get you pretty close to this dietary ideal. With just a few extra tweaks, however, you can uncover an even more powerful, personalized version of the Paleo diet that is ideal for you.
“The Paleo Cure” turns the popularized version of the #Paleo diet into your own powerful healing tool to take control of your health.
This book walks you through a process to discover the deeper, hidden power of a Paleo-style diet (and Paleo-inspired lifestyle) to prevent and reverse disease and turn you into the lean, energetic person you were meant to be. It is the same great process outlined in the hardcover version, Your Personal Paleo Code, but with a new name that better reflects just how powerful it can be: nothing less than a CURE.
In addition to teaching you what and how to eat, The Paleo Cure also provides practical, easy-to-follow advice for personalizing your lifestyle. By focusing not only on food, but also on exercise, stress management, sleep, and human connection, you will create your own “Paleo Cure”—just like hundreds of patients at my clinic have. With this approach, you can achieve you health goals whether they are simply to lose some weight, or to cure a health condition like IBS, chronic fatigue, or even diabetes.
To celebrate this milestone—the release of my book in paperback—I’m giving away free 50 copies. There are several ways to enter to win just by joining our mailing list, or by spreading the word about the book on social media. (This offer is limited to residents of the continental United States and must be entered by January 5, 2015; see below for additional details.)
Before I sign off, I’d like to send a special thanks to those of you who helped make this book, in hardcover, a New York Times Bestseller in 2014. I couldn’t have done it without you!
I hope 2015 brings you joy, health, and fulfillment.
I just received the much-anticipated book, and I have a question on the 30-day reset. Why are you not allowed to have even natural sweeteners such as stevia.
I have been following the Paleo diet for several months now and it has really helped so much with my IBS and stomach problems. But I think I have eaten too much fruit because it has caused belly fat and I have gained some weight back, which I don’t like! I would like to try the 30-day reset but without stevia??
Chris’s free eBook on sweeteners should answer this question for you:

Hi Chris, u have chosen a much, much better title now. “your personal paleo code” said what it is but was utterly complicated. but even worse were the translations to foreign languages. the original complicated words were made into sthg so complicated … – i could have never ever backtranslated that into English in order to understand what it should have meant when i wouldnt know the original title. the title of the Hungarian translation (i am native) mean for example literally “tailormade paleolithic computer programming”. i feel you wrote one of the few books that deserve to carry the word “cure”
I was just wondering what you thought about this article by John Brisson discussing how Soil Based Probiotics can cause problems for people who don’t have enough good bacteria (link below). Even going as far as to say that some of the organisms are opportunistic and can make people very sick. I had a gut infection close to two years ago and I have been taking Prescript Assist for a couple of months now after switching from the D-Lactate Custom Probiotics formula and I did not know what to make about this article and several other I saw saying basically the same thing. Is this anything to worry about?

Thank you for what you do! In a world where we pay to exercise, and drink our vitamins because our food is so depleted, it is great to see answers in real food. Looking forward to following your blog in 2015. Cheers!
Oh I want to win your book so bad… my boyfriend’s doctor is saying that my boyfriend is a ticking boom because of his high cholesterol, but I don’t want him to take the pill she is asking to … because I red alot about how cholesterol is not related to high cholesterol from you and Dr Mark… so this book will be like my bible…
Will probably buy it if I don’t win…
thanks
Has anybody had any success in reversing Parkinson’s symptoms using the principles in Chris’s book(s).
I would really appreciate obtaining a free book !!!!!!
I am on a Paleo type diet for over 3 years. Got rid of an autoimmune thyroid condition already yet still take the thyroid meds. Therefore I am quite curios about Chris’ twist on this diet and would love to read his book, because I can imagine that I can learn something that I have not considered yet.
I am really hoping that I will be blessed in winning one of your books Chris, I have much to learn and the state of my health means that it is imperative that I do something before it is too late. Thank you for considering my request in receiving your book
Sincerely
Helen
Have read Paleo Code a my best friends suggestion and it worked perfectly…lost lots of weight by choice. He suggested it as I have epilepsy and went through three surgeries with great success. I love what you have to say and believe in it. Thanks for all you say and I look forward to what comes ahead in 2015.
I have learnt a lot from your expertise already and would love to have your book. Thank you for your kind offer.
Hoping to win… Started the Paleo Approach over 2 1/2 months ago and I have been medication free for 62 days. No thyroid meds or narcolepsy meds or meds for depression. Have felt so alive for the first time in over 7 years and my husband calls me the “energizer bunny” now instead of “napping Nancy”. I cannot wait to read your book Chris thank you for all the I formative newsletters!
Narcolepsy is now considered an autoimmune condition? Is this hot off the presses, or am I nodding off at my computer? What will be the next reason to fix my gut?
How did you get off of Thyroid med in such a short time? Which were you taking and how did you know you could get off? Also how long were you taking the med? I’d love to get off the Armour Thyroid for hypo, but after 15 yrs, maybe not possible?
I am already signed in and receive your news articles. Just signed up for the free book and that did not work.
You need to sign into the raffle widget with your email or Facebook. The account on the CK.com is separate. If you’re still having trouble please email [email protected].
Hi, I’m from England so also unable to participate in free draw but read your emails & try to follow best as I can. I have Hashimotos and gluten unfortunately gets into my blood stream but the infornation that you provide and blogs are extremely helpful.
I just have to say, you cannot go wrong with the Paleo Plan. My husband and I have been following Chris’ advice from his book for going on 4 months now. My husband’s lab numbers decreased dramatically for the better. We both feel much better and are looking forward to further success continuing the Paleo Plan.
:(. Canadian, can’t participate in draw. .. But when there’s a will theres a way I’ll hunt it down locally 😉
Well, I’m sitting in the doctors office waiting to be told more about my thyroid cancer that has spread to tumors on my neck. Do you think your book can help, with the cancer going on? I looked up foods to eat with cancer and I am a little confused?
Get the book: Cancer Out of the Box by Ty Bollinger. Modern medicine is no closer to curing cancer today than they were 75 years ago. If something is non-patentable, your doctor won’t give it to you. The book will help you make educated decisions on things God put on earth to help. Many supplements will assist your treatment.
What we call your description of “Paleo Cure” is Pre-industrial small family farm food tradition. Even though small family farming practices began to be “industrialized” in the mid to late 1800s, these traditional food preparation practices extended into the 1950s in isolated areas of Europe and in the USA (not to mention other cultures around the globe) where electrical power distribution was delayed. Many US farm kids growing up in the 1950s are familiar with these food practices.
And I shared this giveaway on FB and via email but did not get the extra entry 🙁
You’ll get +1 entry for each person who joins the giveaway via the link you shared (up to 10 extra entries).
Have really benefited from reading Chris’s blog and would love to have this book!
